Positive growth - Tuesday, March 18
Springtime revitalizes the earth — from the bloom of foliage to the birth of animals. Do the same for yourself by planting seeds of optimism that can blossom into a healthier mindset and a healthier you:
Stay confident. If negative whispers taint your perspective, hush them. Practice thinking a powerful thought such as “Stand down!” or “Silence!” When insecure thoughts or doubts bubble up, pop them by reminding yourself that you’re in command.
Use the power of speech. Rather than saying “I can’t,” try “When I solve this problem, I will…” or “Once I learn more, I will…” Positive phrases help you remember anything is possible.
Express appreciation. Write down sentiments of gratitude and hope. Try to feel good about each one, and look for more each day.
You can help yourself feel the positive freshness of the new season with these ideas. You can also access mind and body resources on the Healthy Workforce website to help you to stay positive in every season. In addition, you can get one-on-one help from EAP, the Employee Assistance Program.
