Keep eyes healthy by walking - Wednesday, January 15
Exercising benefits your entire body, including your eyes. Staying physically active may prevent leading causes of vision loss:
Macular degeneration. Walking 30 minutes a day, five days a week reduces risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes. These chronic diseases can lead to loss of vision in the center of the visual field (the macula).
Cataracts. Physical activity has been shown to reduce the risk of eye lens cloudiness and cataracts.
Walk daily to see more clearly.
