Breathe easier with walking - Monday, February 17
Seasonal allergies don’t have to interrupt your fitness goals. Continue your walking routine through allergy season with these tips:
Prevent. Avoid morning workouts — pollen levels are highest between sunrise and noon — or walk on an indoor treadmill. If you do walk outside, shower and change quickly afterward to remove pollen.
Relieve. Break a sweat to ease congestion and open your sinuses. Walking for 15 minutes, twice daily, helps keep nasal passages clear.
With the right precautions, you can walk through your allergies and stay active.
